working fine for me--but is there a chance we can get the small map back? also for those having problems, this update is in it's own folder, just extract to the uifolder in everquest

The problem with the small map, was it wasent XML compatable. and crashed the UI, with the new changes they made. It also wouldn't show the atlas at all.

I'll see what I can do, but I don't know if I can fix it. Maybe someone else who knows XML can adapt it to worj with the new Krust UI.

Couple of requests for the leet xml programmers out there (I am willing to donate as this UI has been my go-to UI for better than a couple years and I want it back :lol: )
  • 1) Change the map back to the small version.
    2) Change the spell icons back to the old icons
    3) Change the compass back to the old Krust-style compass
    4) Change Combat Abilities window back to Vertical Button Type.
    5) There are more, but I am mid-raid and cannot think clearly, will update later.
Anyone willing/able to do this, pm me and we can work out any details. Thanks.

I agree with all of the last post except the map. Those of us who are older, run higher resolution or just plain cant see too well like the larger map. So if you are going to change to the smaller one, please leave it as an option.

Spell icons - old or new i don't personally care. Had to get used to the old ones again when i went to this UI originally as I had learned the new ones already and forgot a lot of the old ones.

The new compass and horizontal Combat abilities would be nice.

  • 1) If someone can do this, great
    2) The way the spell icons show up has changed with the new regen system, If I use the old ones we have atm, nothing will show up red (for debuffs) or what ever else they changed like that.
    3) That compass is the one from the previous version of Krust, I don't know how to change the graphic for it though.
    4) I could work on this when I get a chance, I tried using the old one, and the texture graphics were using the enter world button in a jig saw puzzle style faction.
I appreciate everyones feedback on this, and I will work to please everyone, but as we all know that can't always be done. Who knows, maybe the new UI will grow on you like the first Krust UI did.



*UPDATE* The UI download has been updated, the LOW resist on the PlayerWindow has been moved to below the AVG resist.

For those that are intent on wanting the old compass just copy the Old Compass to the Crust UI folder.

For those that want the spell icons to be the old once you just need to copy the Default_old files listed bellow to your Krust UI folder

For some reason the buff window and HoTT window aren't integrating correctly. They look like they're supposed to, but I'm getting "Unknown Label" on both of them where normally the buff timer and target information would be.

Any suggestions for a fix?

same here bard song window and buff window also group window and the hott window and spell gems icons amounts for mana or times to cast are all acting like mq2 not loaded when it is..

like the overall look of it too great job.

*EDIT*

might help if i read the entire post instead of the last page..

try typing /plugin mq2labels

that fixed everything for me ..

You might want to use the old targetbox.tga. New one isnt uniform and makes target names hard to read, also doesnt line up.

Why was "ScreenPiece BreathWindow" removed? I'm just looking at the ui error and wondering.

Map window. Its about the same size as old krust one, has working atlas, and no parchment so you can set tint to whatever makes you most visible.

thanks Moeymoejoe, nice work, I'll look at them after work today, and possibly implement them into the UI

I really appreciate all the input, and the help with the stuff I'm not so good at, for keeping krust alive.


I'm Currently working on the buff status.inc, getting all the new spells in there. the next big project, will be Modifying Wait4rez (acceptrez) to use the new respawn window if it's up, or use the old way if timer ran out.


I also know that Force Feeding in krust isn't working due to something with the item click structure, havent looked to se if any new patches have fixed it yet. I do know all clickies still work, buffrequests works, and most other components still work fine.
