eq chat delay with multiple lines.

Post by JP5 » Thu Oct 28, 2004 3:24 pm

Recently, I've noticed that there is a delay if there are multiple lines of text being output at the same time. For instance, when you do an eq /who check, and when you hit multiple targets with an AE.

The more lines of text at the same time, the more delay.

This is new.

Why is it there? AE bard kiting is already nerfed and it just serves to annoy the hell out of me whenever I do /.

There's nothing in MQ2 (at least nothing obvious) that could be causing this, though if you have a lot of plugins that watch chat(things like DPS parsers, exp trackers that check for messages, etc) they could be bogging down.

Logfiles are likely...is this something that only shows up with MQ enabled?

Turn the Journal off. That used to happen to me whenever an agro message would pop up, turning the Journal option off fixed it completely.

Alt+J, uncheck "enable journal".
