Having problems compiling latest patch

Post by gambit69 » Fri Oct 15, 2004 1:44 am

having problems compiling the latest MQ2. I've used the microsoft SDK system and all i get is that it can't find anything even though i'm in the folder that it told me to goto. I then tried using the Visual studio .net system but it telling that the lab is over before i start. Now with teh SDK system i've hadn't had any problems compiling and getting MQ2 to run. Just having problems with this latest release. With the Visual studios i have no idea what is going on there. Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

When you say latest MQ, do you mean (MQ2-20041014b)? There were two MQs released today. Just some friendly advice, don't say MQ2-Latest. Say the actual version as my "MQ2-Latest" may very well be newer than yours.

Also, Visual Studio .Net should generate a buildlog.htm. Would be useful to host it or copy/paste the error list - most of us are not divine and thus don't know what errors you are getting.

Well tried visual studios again ths morning and it worked. Not sure why it didn't want to work last night. As for an error log, I'm not sure how to create one while at the C: prompt using the nmake program. But I got it compiled and working now. The latest patch was the MQ2-20041014b you were talking referring to. I would have thought you would have figured it out from the date and time of the post. :)

The date and time of posts doesn't tell how long you have had your problem nor how long it was since you downloaded.
