Best way to learn to write macros, take a simple task such as raising skills, fishing, casting spells, and try to automate it. Take a couple of the macros that are currently up on the boards for examples, but don't just cut and paste them, as you obviously won't learn anything from that. I had to relearn my stuff not too long ago, and am still doing so for that matter, I've missed a year of development, and taking a couple minor macros that other people have writen and putting them together into a working compilaition helps me to brush up on things I already knew as well as learn the things they may have known and I didn't when I study their code.
Basically, screw around with it, it's the best way to learn anything.
