MQ and Win98

When ever i start MQ on my Win98SE Box it shows up in the sys tray for approx. 2 Seconds and then... poof... it's gone.

Any idea someone?

And yes i'm using the latest version... it works pretty good on my WinXP Box (exept the random crashes).

First MQ, then EQ... Version is MQ-20020726 w/ patch for 20020814

I had this problem once on XP, it isnt just a 98SE problem.... Check your task list, make sure no EQgame, EQW or Macroquest EXEs are running (press ctrl alt del to get the gimpy win98 task list)... if not, reboot ;p Thats what I did...

I am on XP and it is working ok for me, with EQW and EQM running, every thing runs fine....once in a while ill crash, but not verry often

same for me - WinXP, EQW and MQ all running together fine with no problems

I have no problems at all while using mq under xp... but it won't work under 98 anymore.

problem is still there... MQ 831 also vanishes a few seconds after started under Win98 while working like a charm under WinXP.

Considering all the development work for MQ is on an NT platform... I can understand it breaking. Personal suggestion but, probably worth a good flame or two run XP
