I was messing around just now trying to find a nice way to scan my groups life. I set a simple macro. It seems any time I try to access any other $group(1-5) it crashes me to the desktop.
Sub Main
/echo $group(0)
/return
That worked fine. The next macro was this.
Sub Main
/echo $group(1)
/return
This caused my eq to crash to desktop. There was me and another person in the group.
Thanks,

Does $group(count) work properly when you have you and another in a group?

Yes $group(count) works fine it re turns the value of 3. That is the correct number.
Howerver when I checked $group(2) it returned a value of 0 as if the member was not in the zone. I then did a $group(1) and crash.

hmmm....the only thing I can imagine that might cause a problem with that code would be if the GROUP offset was incorrect. Right now it's listed as 006B010D ...before I test it myself, has anyone confirmed this is 100% correct (ie, confirmed, not just using old eqgame.exe's as reference)

I have been having problems with the various cleric macros. Everquest would crash to desktop after the cleric would join the group.
During lunch I changed the following value in eqgame.ini:
Group=006B010D
to
Group=006B0250
I got this info from the following thread:
http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic ... c&start=30
With the above eqgame.ini file modification, the cleric macros seem to work. I only tested it with one person in the group though. I will be sure everything else works when I get home tonight.

Let us know if that fixes your problem Shocks so we can correct it in the CVS. The problem you described in your original post is a GROUP offset problem, not a GROUPCOUNT problem.

Yes that fixes it. I was unaware it was a offset issue. Ill try not to make that mistake twice. Thanks again.

Someone needs to change GROUP in the CVS, if it's not been done already, to make sure this is remedied for future releases.
