Post by Iceman2k12 » Mon Mar 17, 2003 10:21 pm

i get up to the part where I type NMAKE, and it doesnt work, it says bad file name or command. i went to set up the environment and this is what it said " Setting Environment For Using Microsoft Visual C++ tools. " but says nothing after that. was wondering if anyone can give me a description on how to fix this... thanks

Try taking the contents of Vcvars32.bat and putting it in your autoexec.bat. Sometimes you will not have the enviorment space available in a shell. Or you can create a command prompt shortcut on your desktop and change its properties to increase the enviroment size. Run Vcvars32.bat then run nmake. You dont need to build the detours package to compile MQ. Read the forums here and you will learn that you need but one file.....
