Done it all and still doesnt work...

Post by InkMachine » Sat Dec 28, 2002 12:39 pm

Hi everyone,

Ok, I have a WinXP home edition machine.

I have downloaded the latest IRC version of MQ and the latest offsets.

I have changed the MacroQuest.ini.dist to MacroQuest.ini

I unzipped the zip file to EverQuest/IRC-20021201

I run the MacroQuest.exe file from the EverQuest/IRC-20021201/Release/ directory and it loads into the sys tray.

I then start the everquest game icon on my desktop wihich is the file located at "C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest\EverQuest.exe"

The game starts just fine. I choose my toon, load into the world and try typing /who and there's nothing different. I try /filter macros all and it gives me a list of all filters and to toggle them on or off, but no where in that list is macros. I try /macro spellbook and nothing happens.

What is it that I am missing or have forgot to do?

Thanks so much for all your help.

Get the offset from http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1425 and copy it into your MacroQuest.ini file.

You can not see the error that MacroQuest gives unles you are running EQ in a window.

Do I just over write everything in that macroquest.ini file with the new info?

Thanks for your help and understanding that I'm stupid :-)

NO no no no no no no!!

Offsets DO NOT go in your macroquest.ini file.

They go in your eqgame.ini file that's in the same directory as your macroquest.exe.

Yes, cut and paste and replace everything.

You'll prolly have to re-unzip the file to get your macroquest.ini back now. Doh.
