got 2 errors

MQ2-20050328\MQ2Main\MQ2Data.cpp(636) : error C2001: newline in constant
MQ2-20050328\MQ2Main\MQ2Data.cpp(637) : error C2143: syntax error : missing ')' before 'if'
Error executing cl.exe.

MQ2Main.dll - 2 error(s), 0 warning(s)

what i am missing?

What are you using to compile?

(If it's the free ms tools shit, dkaa's going to hell)

We seen this problem before but I don't remember what the solution was. There is an ascii constant that is used on that line that some editors using certain codepages turn into a newline. If you re-extract mq2data.cpp from the zip and don't edit it, you should be okay.

i am using Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 SP 6 to compile
and i did re-extract the MQ2data.cpp
still got the problem ~

It's ascii character 166 (0xa6) and I'm not sure why it's in there.
