I will admit I did enjoy reading the masses of retarded posts like these.. but it gets old fast and there should be some system in place for peopel to earn a place to be able to post

maybe let people who have over 100 posts post everyone else cant post?

so would need some initial donation on the part of the potential postee to get into the vip forums to post. and if you screw around there your out so would work welll, and keep all the retards off the public boards.

The fact that it is even being suggested is pretty sad though.

I love that idea.

Make people pay a 5 dollar donation just to see the general forums and a set dollar amount for the Vip forums. Then have a 10 dollar monthly fee just to stay in VIP.

We're not making this a subscription-based community... It's been free for years, and although it gets abused, it's probably going to stay pretty open for a few years.

If MQ2 becomes subscription then we all become customers rather than a community. I dunno about the devs but in their place I would consider this worse than as it is now. In my experience this makes people feel entitled (more so than some do here) and makes them demand more while knowing/giving less.

A donation is a voluntary contribution, and telling someone they can only see stuff if they keep donating is patronizing them. We allow someone who donates to see the VIP forums indefinitely (or until they abuse the privilege) as a thanks; this is not patronizing them.
