MQ not working on German Version ????

Post by EvilProphecy666 » Fri Jan 03, 2003 10:24 pm

Hi,

maybe i'm one of the few german EQ Players. Could it be, that MQ won't work on the german version ? (patched / or non patched) I have Windows XP and the Everquest Trilogy (except everything but PoP and Luclin) and this tool doesn't work at all....(i´ve downloaded the new MQ and inserted the new offsets into its right ini; i although installed the Active PERL).

I even tried to run EQ with EQW but it shows me everytime the error message "wrong Client".

So, please tell me, what did i do wrong ?

PS: Sorry for my bad english :)

Weil du Deutsch bist, wurd ich dir hilfen. ;)

Make sure of the following:
~you have the latest version (12012002)
~you have copied and pasted the offsets from the "12-05 offsets" link in this forum into the file called "eqgame.ini" in your macroquest directory.
~you renamed macroquest.ini.dist to simply macroquest.ini
~you go into your program files/sony/EQ trilogy folder, right click on the "eqgame.exe" file and then choose "properties". Es tut mir leid, dass ich diese Worte kennen nicht auf Deutsch. In that "properties" area, you'll see "date created" and "date modified". Make sure that the time and date listed next to "date created" exactly matches the date and time listed at the top if the "eqgame.ini" file in your macroquest directory. If it doesn't match, MAKE it match.
~save everything, double click on "macroquest.exe" and then start EQ.

Do all that and then tell us what happens. Wenn es passt nicht, sag etwas....MacroQuest muss Arbeit!

Hehe, and you said your english was bad. Look at my german? Und...wenn du Frage hast, probeir doch mal auf Deutsch, ich brauche den ubersetzpraxis.

Salutations,
would suggest copying down your no perl eqlib.dll (release/noperl/eqlib.dll I think) to your release dir, that seems to be a problem people have IF YOU FIND IT WON'T HOOK INTO EQ. Your problem seems to be that it can't get the correct client version, could you post what your eqclient.exe version say (right click and goto properties, find when it was last modified)

Fraid your probably out of luck with MQ. The EQ New Dawn versions of EQ use a different eqgame.exe that incorporates all the translation stuff. If your lucky its just a case of finding the offsets for your version of eqgame.exe. If the eqgame.exe is too different then it would be a start from scratch situation.

probably not what you wanted to hear.
Sorry.

Well, thanks for your fast answeres....

so here my results:

i did everything Malachi told me, but i have done it already....(hngl, english grammar sucks *g*)

so, my client Version (right click on eqqame.exe / properties):

(german)
eqqame.exe erstellt -> Donnerstag, 21. November 2002, 18:42:32
eqqame.exe geändert -> Donnerstag, 21. November 2002, 18:42:32

(english)
eqqame.exe created -> thursday, 21. November 2002, 18:42:32
eqqgame.exe modified -> thursday, 21. November 2002, 18:42:32

so, please tell me, what should i modify/change to fit the MQ Programm ?

PS: Malachi your german is very good...for an ??? Person :))))

PPS: The MQ won't hook either, if i copied the non PERL DLL .....well i already said, that i installed Active Perl too, and it hadn't hooked.....*gnaa*

Salutations,
I believe that if you are going to get MacroQuest to work, you are going to have to use an English version of the game. The English version was not patched on the 21st, and the closest one was on the 19th... You could try those offsets if you want, doubt they'd work but: http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1326. My apologies that it doesn't work all that well...

Ach! Scheisse!

Bleh....

Well, thank you all for the Help, but nothing worked. I think i need really the English version *damn*.

Well, isn't it possible to get offsets for the German Version ? If so, can somebody tells me how ? :)

Can someone send me the eqgame.exe (english) ? Maybe i can compare it with my german version and find new offsets :)
