eqgame.exe remaining in memory

Post by Junun » Mon Dec 16, 2002 12:41 pm

I can run MQ fine in game. My problem is that when I quit out of EQ I still have eqgame.exe left in memory. For what ever reason I am unable to end task on it also(even logged in as admin). If I decide to run another EQ session when i finish another eqgame.exe will be in memory, over time this can add up to alot. The only way to clear it from memory seems to be to reboot.

OS = Win2k

Any ideas on the cause of the problem?

Before you quit eq do /unload that should stop it from sticking in memory.
You could also get the kill.exe utility from the windows 2000 resource kit to get rid of the process without rebooting.

Salutations,
in XP, I manage to end it as admin using 'end process tree'
