I figured you were working around the actual command AFK. Honestly it sounds like something that might need to be done up in the personal.inc.
If the master name is static you should be able to get away with starting the shortcut with:
Code: Select all
/target MasterDude|WTFeveryouwanttheshortcuttodo
or if you're using tells to communicate:
Since I don't know exactly what you're trying to do after the /target, I don't know if it'll work. I do know that shorcuts can handle pretty much any /command in EQ, so if it's an alias of some sort that you're calling after the /target, you may be able to pull it off.

Yeah, looks like a personal.inc to me now. Since I can't /command in a shortcut I'll move it to there.

I dont know if it would cause a problem.
Does this bot support oow?
For some reason when i try to run this macro it crashes eq. I know its not MQ2, because other macros work fine. A shame I would love to use this macro.

Works just fine for me as of last weekend. I'd go out on a limb and say you suck and are new to macros. Beyond that, if you post a more desriptive reason, like how far does it get before crashing, I *might* be able to help. I'm guessing I probably won't be able to, as no matter how hard I try, I've never been able to make a macro crash EQ.

well there is never any reason to be harsh. Yea im new to macros. no im not new to programming. I type /macro genbot master, and directly after it crashes. It does not create the ini file. my guess is that is where it is crashing.
I read over the GenbotDoc.txt a couple of times.
The first time you run genbot, a file will be created in your /macros directory, called bot_BotName.ini.
I do not have to make this ini file apperantly, as it is suppose to do it for me. The directory is not set as read only or anything of the sort.
Are there any fixes burried in the post somwhere i missed?

NP, I wasn't trying to be harsh, well yeah, I guess I was. I was just making the point that the macro wasn't the source of your problem. There's a fuckton of copying and pasting to be done with this mac, so it's really easy to screw up. I didn't think it was possible to screw it up to the point where it would CTD you though.

Is anyone else having a problem with the stopifhealed or the stopforheals toggles now working? I have both of these set to "on" in my ini file but they dont seem to be doing anything. The bot will not heal untill the current spell is done casting and will not cancel the heal if someone else heals the target first. Am i just missing something here?

Stopforheals works, but its flaky. It won't interrupt a chainnuke routine, and it usually won't stop if you're telling it to run another shortcut like a buffing/debuffing routine.
Stopifhealed hasn't work since it was implemented. Vexix was going to clean it all up, but then he lost interest and left GB to die a horrible death. At least until someone else comes along and resurrects it!

Was interested if anyone has modified botspell in order to overcome resists on spells such as Snare. Enabling a recast on resist.
Would adding a recall to the castfromqueue sub in the resist sub work?
If dragons were real..
I'd fuck one.

Vexix, posted something in the VIP section awhile ago. That checks specifically for snare and recasts.

Look at the last pages of some of the previous versions of GB. I posted a fix for it a while ago, but I'm too busy to dig it up.

are alt abilities broke? I tried many variations of the following:
mgb=snt alt Mass Group Buff
Still can't get it to trigger this or any other alt ability.

It's never worked for me that way. I ended up using /alt activate ### for any AA shortcuts I made.

ok, I guess its fine to use the ingame version of /alt but then you can't use variables and stuff with it directly.
