Keyboard cable lenght limit?

Does anyone know if there is a limit to how long a keboard cable can be and still work?

depends... USB cables have a length limit, but if it's not a USB keyboard then I'd say anything up to 20 feet or so would be fine...

It wouldnt be a USB cable and I need about 100ft, my guess is im SOL.

there are extender kits that could do 100ft no probs, but i dont think its cheap

I know im gonna regret asking, but why 100Ft?! Why does your PC need to be 100ft away from the keyboard??? we might be able to come up with cheaper and better solution.

Ok heres why. My second comp is down the hall in another room. I used MQ to bot my second char, a druid to Plevel chars. Since MQ seems a bit risky and all these days I thought that if I had a keyboard cable long enough I could really accomplish what I wanted to do by using the "in game" macros. Since I had this crazy Idea though, I went and checked out EQW and that has been working great. MQ is a great program, but since I wasnt using MQ for tradeskills or plat, I find that EQW allows me to bot a second char without the worry. Thanks for trying to help out, it was a silly idea anyways now that I think about it.

hehe, yeah ithink i would sooner let MQ run than try to type commands in from 100 feet away, everybody knows i cant type worth a night with yer great great grandmother

theres a nice druid.mac macro elsewhere on this forum that is perfect for your needs m8 - u can still run the 2 accounts on same pc with eqw if u wish, but it just makes life a hell of a lot easier
