Help section from before the user variable changes that broke all macros

wasn't able to find anything on this and wasn't exactly sure what to search for. Anyway, I'm working on a macro to buy items and once I get past the visible slots 0-11 the click left merchant won't work. For instance, my code contains the following:
/click left merchant 12
returns the message:
Usage: /click <left|right> <mouseloc>
and proceeds to end the macro
The exact same macro works for 0 through 11 and I also isolated the issue by making a test macro with just the basics and that particular line and changing the values to make sure I had isolated the issue.

Yes, there aren't any more slots... If you want to buy an item that isn't visible, then you need to make it visible... Use the up and down buttons on the merchant...

You could just buy the item by its name and than you would not care what inventory spot it was in.

I actually figgured this one out. Hopefully I don't sound like an idiot in my explanation.
To get past 11 on the merchant screen you will need to do the
/click left macro down
The thing you need to remember is that there is no number past 11 on the merchant screen. If you click down once then what was once 2 will now be 0. The numbers will always be because those are the only ones that are showing.

6 7
8 9
10 11
There's probably a better way to describe it but I don't know it. So if you want to select something that is lower than 11 you will need to click down however many times it takes for it to be VISIBLE then figgure out what the new number will be between 0 and 11.
I hope this makes sense and if I am wrong would someone PLEASE correct me. Little by little I'm tryin to figure all this out.

As lupinus was hinting at you can just search on the merchant for the name of the item without worrying about where it was on the merchant.
/merchant "Item" | finds Item on merchant
/call buyitem

Thank you for that line. It made my buying alot easier and simplier. Speeding some things up a bit and I don't have to worry about it buying the wrong item cause of specifying a name instead of a number. Nice.
