nah I didn't build in a way to do that. It'd probably be a pain to do it, but I'll keep it in mind for when I'm bored. Right now I'm busy updating all of my macros before Phase 3 hits.

Finally got this macro to start up with CTD'ing me, but doesnt appear to actually function.

Any time I actually use a /echo command, it just links the text in the MQ2 window.

I have read through this thread, and at the header text to the macro....

I get the macro has started text, but even after changing the channel / pass, ini file settings, and creating a blank ini file, i dont get any response from the macro.

Im using the MQ2 build from April 9th (i just rebuilt)

It works fine.

You are probably forgetting to do a few things like uncommenting the #define USEMQ2DATATYPES line in mq2main.h and recompiling.

Also by default if you don't feed the macro any parameters at startup it is in silent mode as stated in the top of the macro.

If none of this works I'm not sure what to tell you because its fine on my machine.

I assume what you mean is that the link in the mq2chat is not showing. This is actually correct, the MQ2chat hasnt had working links for a long time but we failed to tell Lax... so he disabled the non working links in MQ2chat. So after finding the item with /echo search then use an /echo show. This will spit out the actual link in your designated channel.

/echo search fabled
/echo show F 118

above is example ...

You can also use:

/echo ssearch sword

And it would spit out 3 hits for that search in your chat channel. There are of course a ton of other places you can redirect the output but you'll need to read the top of the macro to figure those out.

Yup, missed that part, got it working nicely now.

Just a last thought, would this be better as a plugin rather than a macro?

As a plugin, dont need to keep such a watch over it, as a macro, gotta keep up with ending and interfering with other macro's

Either way, its an awesome little macro.

Thanks for the help, and the great coding

Updated:
Removed some old code that stripped bad characters out of incoming text. The characters don't seem to bother the new parser.

Hmm I'll have to look at it when I get home tonight. It's possible I fubared something when converting my ${String stuff early this morning. Can anyone else verify if this is working?
