WaitForTrade

Post by DrMadd » Sat Jan 31, 2004 1:49 pm

Can someone point me in the right direction. I need a function that will wait untill someone opens a tradewindow with you.

Click cancel if there is an item in the trade window

Click accept if there is platinum in the trade window

Here's how I think it can be done although there might be a better way.
Put your mouse over the trade button and find the mouse position of your trade window (/mousepos). Have a script running that detects the event 'wants to trade with you' or whatever the text is that comes up when someone wants to trade with you. Then just run your event subroutine that moves your mouse to the position of the trade button and clicks it.

Hmm, I tried this... It worked for me (kinda, i have some debugging to do) if they try to trade an item. (ie: says I am not looking for items, or something to that effecT) and closes trade window...

But still looking for a way to check if they are trading PP... I'm not getting anything popping up when I try to trade PP with my bot. No way to check if eqtradewindow.xml is open eh?

btw: #event TradeItem "has offered you a" works for trading items.

I haven't tried the trade window yet, but you can edit your locations.txt file and add missing windows and buttons. I have a mac that will auto-log me in if I go LD. =) Just had to add the char select screen and button locations.

how is this not an exploit? he obviously wants this for AFK use...how is this different from the guy that wanted the C3 casting macro?? Why isnt he being told to write his own mac and keep this out of the

Not flaming, I'm just honestly curious how this is different in anyway...its so obvious he wants to do what X***** is already doing on T**** server...

Why are you posting player names on this forum?

Be a bit more mindful, and also notice that no code beyond one snippet has ever been posted here, and probably won't be to this thread even though the start date on this thread has been more than 2 weeks ago.

As stated in the other thread, the forum admins would undoubtably strike it down if it were.

I don't object to automating a Bazaar merchant... but yes, given the probability of abuse here I'd definately quash it. I personally do not want to see a horde of KEI bots running around.

Locking.
