It would appear that the file "solWindowPieces03.tga" is not found in either of the zip files, i wonder how that came to be :/

Yeah sorry I forgot to mention you have to get all the patches with Solaria as well as the original zip. I will fix that in my instructions. Thanks


I don't play a caster so i didn't add the mana/max mana but thats a good idea. I will add that on there as well. Thanks for the suggestion.

In your screenshot of the group window, is the green bar just something you used to scratch out names or is it the pet bar? cause on mine the pet bar is this very tiny little thing that sits behind the players class and level and it was kind of disappointing. I was hoping for that green bar, perhaps behind the players name :)

The green bar is just there to block the player names, you're not missing something. It woudn't take much to make the pet life line larger. I'm sure it's the default config for the solara UI.

anyone notice a problem with the "small" spell list acting larger than it is?
-if you click arround to the right of the spell list you still are "on" the spell box even though your inches away. Sugestions?


Any sugestions on moveing the group members pet bar, or makeing it larger?

Here are my minor modifications to this great Solaria UI.

I modded the compas to include (from left to right)...

Y chord of loc (on left side of compass), Speed in the middle (hidden when stopped) and X chord of loc on the right side of compass.

Its baby and trivial, but I like it :)

And the other mod is to the target window. Instead of the short "NWN" or "SSW" direction, I used umm... that guys mod to make it say a number from -180 to +180 (easier for me to understand) and the distance to the mob. If either is 0, it just doesn't show (when you are RIGHT ON the mob or targeting yourself.

Does anyone plan on re-doing this using the new MQ2 syntax? I am going to start on it, and would rather not duplicate work if possible. I believe I will start on something simple, the Target window :)

New Hotness Target Window:

Currently it just has the default "Heading To" which is kind of akward to read (unless you are a compass guru). It has the level, short class name and distance though. I really liked the crazy 180 -> -180 heading thing that I had stolen shamelessly from someone elses.

NEXT GOAL IS BUFF WINDOW! Still trying to work out the new hotness for it, I R Confused!

Tested very briefly, EQ finally crashed after about the 100th skin reload :)

It is simply the short class name and the level, just like with the oldness.

Nope, code doesn't fit.

So I have converted so far: Target, Group, Buff, Player, Pet

and as far as I can tell, those are the only MQ modified files. I would be happy to zip them up and send em to someone with webspace :)

Below is the cast spell window with the # of casts till oom (estimate, it was off by about 3 remedies due to spec alt savings and mana regen). This USED to slow my machine down by 10FPS or more, now I am hard pressed to say it is more than 1 or 2.

Edit: Small modification. Switched from ${Int[]} to just .Int and also increased the font size and moved the numbers by a few pixels to make em centered and stuff.
