MacroQuest work when using EQw?

I have tried to get MacroQuest to work while running EQw but it says incorrect client version or something along those lines. Is there going to be anything in the futute to add EQw support or am I just being stupid and need someone to tell me how to fix it myself. Ok thanks

make sure you have the eqgame.ini from the 8/24 patch (you can get it from macroquest2.com there's a link to it on the top right of the page. also make sure your've got the 7/26 macroquest version. and most of all, make sure your running in the old UI =)


the 8/24 has ClientOverRide set to 1 (yes) which will get rid of that version problem. but you must make sure your upto date

This is not a EQW problem.

Right click on your eqgame.exe file to find the exact date and time it is registered under, (the modified time) and pout that into the macroquest eq ini... client override is easier, however, but when a new eqgame.exe is patched, it wont error on you and EQ is likely to crash..

i have the latest eqmacro (7-26-02) the latest eqgame (8-14-02) and the latest macroquest.ini (8-14-02). the eqgame and ini file are matching dates, but it still says incorrent client version when i use EQW (yes i have the latest eqw too). i also have ClientOverride=1 in the ini

so whats up? why wont eqw work with mq?

MQ with with EQW - and both EQW windows if you got 2 open

did you put the downloaded eqgame.ini file into the macroquest directory and not your EQ directory ?>

When you get the incorrect client version message up, it will report the CORRECT version that should be in the eqgame.ini file in your MacroQuest folder.

On one of my PCs the Client version has to read:
ClientVersion=Wed Aug 14 02:57:27 2002

Whereas on the other PC, it has to read
ClientVersion=Wed Aug 14 02:57:28 2002

So it looks like one pc patched from one server, and the other pc patched EQ from a different server that was 1 second behind.
