Fairly simple. What do you guys want to see added, be it to the code(EQTypes/etc) or XML related things? Feel free to post thoughts, wishes, concerns, dislikes, what have you :P

I dunno if this is possible or not...

But you know when you get an adventure and you get into the zone next to the adventure it puts a little blue line on your compass to show you the way to the adventure?

Would be cool if we could set it so the current target had a blue line on the compass...you could track your target so easily then :)

A clock. I don't care about the ingame time - just the RL time :-) Maybe an ingame setable timer, with it? That would be handy.

Make the timer box that pops up at the startup able to come up later. As it is now you close or disable the box and you don't see it again til you restart EQ... could be useful to have a timer that you can set and use on the fly. I don't know that this is really the right place for this though... may not be doable through manipulating the ui... but I bet MQ could do it pretty easily.

I don't know about putting a blue line in your compass, it's probably possible but might take some work. You can, however, do $target(direction) and it will give you the direction to your target like NWN, E, S, etc.

i suggest making an easily scalable (for different resolutions) MQ ui. I swore by the drakah ui for a long time, but am finding the sars a lot cleaner with a lot more viewable space.

check it out: http://sars.has.it/

it'd be really nice perhaps you could use the nice lookout and feel of this ui as a base (and of course, give credit where it is due to sars) and add some spunk with information.

I would suggest an "MQ enchanced" target window to add npc level, and perhaps on the caster veresion put some flags for whether it's charmable, mezzable, etc. I'm not sure if that information is available, but if not, keep the clutter down... NPC class / race rarely matters.

Also, an addition to the player window including some zone information (like a display of the exp bonus in the current zone, based off the $zone(zem) values).

But really, as much information as EQ provides, not quite much more than is already on UIs is extra useful. But those are the 2 things I would think would be most helpful and convienient wihtout cluttering up the place.

I would just like to see the DEFAULT UI edited so that I can take from there and put into the custome UI's that I use.

I would absolutely kill to have a timer that can be restarted via a key combination, or by clicking it. It woulid be cool to have a series of timers where you could specify the duration and then restart them easily.

This would be a boon for classes that have to keep track of buffs and mezz's and such..

Target Distance

Post by TI994a » Thu Nov 13, 2003 11:03 am

I'd like to have the target window show class/lvl, direction, and distance. The mod to the frequency UI linked in this form is almost what I'm looking for, except it shows x and y values of target, not target distance. So I'm still stuck doing /whot on AE mobs to guage whether or not I'm in their AE range.

I doubt that anything asside from HP is available for other group members... why would it be, since its not seen anywhere in the game? While SOE does send a lot of "unseen" data, most of it is there for a reason and at this point in time it has been minimized as far as they can.

Though I think it would be great :)
