TS Macro not working for me

Post by Extralarge » Wed Oct 29, 2003 2:06 am

Heyas everyone i am a total MQ n00b and I really dunno what I am doin wrong.
I am trying to get the TS.mac to work.
I copied the whole code from the first post. Made a receipes.ini in the correct directory.
My ini looks like this atm:

Code: Select all

[dough]
Cont=#mixing
Comp0=#egg
Comp1=#Milk
Comp2=#flour

[Bloodstone]
Cont="Planar Jeweller's Kit"
Comp0="Silver Bar"
Comp1="Bloodstone"
when typing /macro ts "default" bloostone
I get the following error.
Could not find 'NOT FOUND
[MacroQuest] Cannot find container << bloodstone >>
What am I doin wrong?
Many many thanks for your help

Make sure all your containers are open none over lap and you have saved the positions by closing them and reopening. Put the combine container in slot 7 of your inventory (the bottom right slot)

Not knowing the macro you are using very well ... it looks like you are missing a parameter when you call the macro (or perhaps you are passing too many parameters when using the INI).

It looks like it is taking your second parameter, "bloodstone" and trying to use it as the name of a combiner (i.e. Forge).

Well, for a start, type /macro ts "default" bloodstone :roll:

But joking aside, change "Planar Jeweller's Kit" to "#Jewel" and you should be fine.

Oh, man. The apostrophes are backwards. Will they change when they redo the fonts in the next patch?

Be ready for it...

DKAA

I didn't even think about that! Good point. Thing is, you can't even use apostrophes in character names. Once had a GM change my last name to "De'Angelus", and another GM saw it and flipped out. Apparently the apostrophes can cause character corruption and she changed my last name instantly. It was funny, I never realized that when names are joined like "De'Angelus" everyone has "De`Angelus" I think it would take a fairly large bit of work to swap out the ` with ' so I don't think we should worry too much.
