Original error was
Error 1 error LNK1181: cannot open input file 'wsock32.lib' D:\MQ2\MQ2Main\LINK MQ2Main
I downloaded the Windows 8.1 SDK and it changed to
Error 1 error LNK1104: cannot open file 'libcpmt.lib' D:\MQ2\MQ2Main\LINK MQ2Main

Couldnt get it to work so I just compiled on 2010 via Win7 and it worked like a champ.

2012 and 2013 are pretty much the same. I noticed you are compiling from the D drive so Im assuming you have 2 hds It sounds like you either dont have the required sdk or the path to the sdk isnt set up proporly, just make sure you upload all the updates and make sure all the file paths are correct. IE you have 2013 on C drive but its looking for the files it needs on the D drive.
Also make sure your compiling the correct .sln file. I personally use the generic one when compiling with my vs2013.
