Or its not a corrupt download because the no-perl DLL came in a zip file which carries an 8 digit hex CRC which would be amazingly impossible for the file to be corrupt and still meet the CRC check requirements.
As far as my computer is concerned I just installed 98 SE. It seems far more likely that theres something conflicting related to DX8 (which was fresh installed), EQ, or MQ with NoPerl.
As I said, the no-perl DLL causes MQ to somehow stop working. When it does, it disables or messes up EQ in some way that reloading MQ wont fix MQ, but reloading EQ and MQ will. Inherently theres something bad going on between MQ and EQ or MQ and DX functions too possibly.
I find it hard to believe that a problem with my OS would cause memory leaks/overwrites/buffer miscalculations within the EQ memory space only under a specific and contained circumstance in the difference of 12k in code.
