simple rogue

Post by rarr » Wed May 19, 2004 12:56 pm

i wish i had the time and knew enough to write my own scripts, but i'm a supergimp.....

i am seeking a much simpler rogue macro if anyone out there has a simple one or can simplify an existing one.

all i want the macro to do is backstab every time it becomes available, and evade every time it becomes available, and stop attacking when a mob becomes enraged......can someone please help me out here?

i actually enjoy playing a rogue and i dont want anything else automated, this is just to help me out so i dont miss backstabs and i keep evading while i am typing raid instructions.

thanks in advance if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated :)

I know Rogue Helper seems daunting (now that I've enhanced it with so many features) but at it's CORE application it is exactly what you're looking for, a simple macro that can autobackstab, autoevade, and stop attacking when a mob enrages.

This is RH: http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7044

The additional features like autosticking and autoassist are all completely optional (and changable while the macro runs fyi) and other than autosticking, off by default. Most of the time I don't use the advanced features unless I'm really tired or busy with my other character.

Good luck,

I am also looking for something the author has posted. I have been fooling around with RH, and cant seem to find how to turn off "Auto stick" and how to stop making it so you "Auto hide" after you have killed a mob.

Any help Jerle69? You have an awsome macro going :)

I would ALLWAYS strongly recommend you post specific requests for help on certain macros in the original post for that macro, more often than not the people who read those posts the most are using it and will help you if the author is busy.

Mulletmaster:

To turn off autosticking, type /autostick after you've fired up the macro. It'll toggle it off and save that state to your INI file. That means it'll be off until you turn it back on (even if you exit RH). Also type /autohs to turn off the automatic hiding and sneaking while not in combat. I am presuming you have the latest version. If you wonder how to do anything, type /rhhelp and you'll see all the commands you can do.

Rarr:

I know RH seems a little overwhelming, particularly if you don't want to read the three pages of detailed help and you don't want all the added features (or think you don't want them); however, when RH is first run and none of the INI files exist, it is almost exactly what you want. If you run RH for the first time, and type "/autostick" (turning off the autosticking), this macro effectively does only what you want it to do :)

Fuergrissa:

True enough. I tend to read every post here though nowadays.

/autohs was added as of version 4.1 (posted on the 20th). If yours is older, it won't work. Try getting a new copy of the macro and trying again.
