Macro for Abysmal Sea Brewing

There are two merchants right next to each other that have all the ingredients for Minotaur Hero's Brew (trivial 248) and then a brew barrel two feet from them. A perfect macro oppurtunity! Walk to Merhant one, buy 6 stacks of water flasks and 6 stacks short beer. Walk to Merchant Two and buy 9 stacks of Malt, 3 stacks of yeast, and 3 stacks of casks. Walk to brew barrel and brew your heart out. Walk back to Merchant One and sell off all your bottles and brews, repeat.

A nice extra option would be an option to change gear out for different stages, like dual wield your opal steins when buying and selling, but pop your geerlock in there for brewing.

I wish i could code, but I can't make heads or tails of this macroing. I know its C++ and I'm trying to learn it, but I dont know near enough yet to know whats going on in the code and know what is doing what. So any guidance on this would be great.

Thank you.

Th is macro is just lazy, use one of themany already exisisting tradeskill macros, and do the buying and selling manually.... skilled up my cleric in a few hours, while farming on my monk

can you stand at one point and open the merchant and the brewing container ?

of course its lazy. Its a MACRO.

You have two merchants to buy from in VERY close proximity to the brew barrel, but, no, you cant stand there and reach all three :(

Being so lazy, that you cause yourself more work with movement routines and buy/sell routines, isn't lazy.... it's stupid ;)

stupid?

I know in my case, I'd rather spend an hour writing and debugging a script, then spending a hour just clicking to perform the same task.

Even if I'll never use the macro again, I much prefer taking the time to get more comfortable with the syntax and possible errors than getting the carpal tunnel from the mouse clicks.

Unless you play any FPS games, don't think you'll be getting carpal tunnel quite as fast ;)

Nevertheless, this would not be a one time/one person use macro. If it could be successfully accomplished it could take any person to 248 in brewing quickly using only 500+pp. It seems worth the effort. I would gladly be the one making the effort if I was not so ignorant of programming.

buy sell routines are actually easy. But, it allows for afk macroing, and potentially conversion to pp macroing...

i wont touch it.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is so bad about that?

i want to stick my 5eggs in before this thread gets locked :)

Pardon my ignorance, but what is so bad about that?
Macroquest was NEVER designed to be a way to make unlimited plat for zero effort, the devs made a program to enable mundane tasks to be not quite so mundane and also allow maps and spawn info to be passed to the client.
There has to be a line and it’s drawn just under AFK plat making macros.

You were polite in your asking, so I shall refrain from removing your head.

Go to bazaar, look up ornate. See how ridiculas those prices are for rather shitty gear? Care to guess what caused that? The economies in everquest are flooded with macro'd and duped plat....

Sure, any idiot can do some buy sell routines, and movement routines, and the tradeskilling routines and combine them into a working, and fast profitable afk macro. I personally will not help in that though.

i think they finally took out any type of combines that actually yield profits by selling to merchants. even enchanted jewelry which used to sell for like 5% more than cost got nerfed :P

either way, afk anything is bad if it's done for more than a minute or two
