Compiling error

When I click macroquest2.sln on the C++ compiler I get the following errors:
project'C:\Documents and settings\defaultuser\desktop\zipit\MQ2chat.vcproj' failed to open
I get the same message for every file except MQ2 telnet and MQ2 map

I have the same issue atm. I have visual studios 2k3 pro and when i do this it tells me that the files failed to open.

Is there a reason for this? or am i missing a plug in or something?

~edit = ok I used the "free trial of VS" trick to get this to work. However... when i did this at home on my machine with visual studios 2k3 pro version, i get the arror mentioned above.~

it is because we did not unzip the file right. You have to let the win program extract is so that you maintain folder and files rather then copy from one to the other.

Better way is to have an Update folder and a Release folder. Unzip and compile in the Update folder, test it out in EQ, /unload, close .exe, and copy everything (except .ini if you change stuff and macros folder) over to your release folder.
