But by using it in MQ you used to be able to target anyone in zone who sent you a tell. I am sure it is still there just using the new variable type..still looking myself.

${Macroquest.LastTell} according to the documentation.
No clue whether it works or not.

Or, just use "/rtar" as it's built into Everquest.

Or maybe read the thread and find out why he isn't using /rt..
But by using it in MQ you used to be able to target anyone in zone who sent you a tell.

True /rt have a short range, the alias i made /rtt has no range limit. And yes, its a problem on every raid for me.... Guess my class :)

I have tried a few combination like
${Macroquest.LastTell}
but had no luck geting it to work.

Caladine: I read the thread, again.

I don't usually confirm an author's intent based on another person's comments. I read what Goofmester1 said in the third post and perhaps topgun's subsequent silence was an agreement to his rationale (i.e. /rt being of limited range), but that's an assumption.

I genuinely thought Topgun may have been using MQ2 to do something EQ could do for him; you figured I was being sarcastic or a smartass.

Anyway short of getting into a pissing contest over all this, putting this in your ini file:

/rtt = /target ${MacroQuest.LastTell}

should do the trick, assuming you actually receive a tell and they're in the same zone as you. If not, there may be a bug. Be careful of your TLO case sensitivity. According to the documentation it's MacroQuest, not Macroquest. Good luck.

yeah,

Code: Select all

/alias /rt /target ${MacroQuest.LastTell}
works great... after sending in 189273827387623 feedbacks about increasing range on /rt this is one of the main things that drove me to try MQ and i love it :P was nothing more annoying than gettin a tell from someone standin right there, and in range of buffs, yet /rt would give F$*@ing oor message!
