The IRC channel

Actually, I think irc.trifocus.net would be more appropriate... that's the IRC server owned by krisp and casey originally made for ShowEQ, but now also hosts EQEmu, and has hosted a couple other past EQ projects like this one.
It also hosts a couple DAoC projects. Join the server, then join #ShowEQ and you will probably find casey or krisp, talk to one of them (preferably casey, krisp is an ass sometimes), and see if you can use that server. Normally it wouldn't be a big deal, but it's nice to have all my EQ channels on the same server :-). Not to mention trifocus is a faster server then openprojects.net anyway.
You also might want to ask if you can get GM, the infobot, to join your channel. That infobot is the smartest one I've ever come across, and it has been running for years with LOTS of user input to make it even smarter. Just a side thought.
