If this is only happening to you while MQ2 is running, what you describe is caused by the EQ client's built in security. It detected a change in its memory space and shut down.

Are you using any 3rd party hacks or anything else to alter EQ?

Sounds like a connection problem, not MQ.

You haven't said what your connection is, so generally two things cause disconnections. First is naturally firewalls. EQ to some firewalls looks like a packet storm or DoS style attack and may cut off access to the port being used by the zone you are in. Second is drivers. Update them or downgrade them if you have upgraded recently. Related to both somewhat is router firmware...

My Linksys Router used to boot me to server select quite often, and downgrading to firmware 1.39 fixed it. It really was a Mediacom issue, and have found similar problems with Comcast's 3mbit upgrade on an older DLink wireless router.

If none of this seems to help, post some more info and someone can probabaly give you a hand.

I hadn't even thought of 3rd party hacks to the offsets...

Speed, EB, and many other changes will boot you to server select post-haste.

EQPlaynice is the only other mod to EQ that I have. Stable DSL connection, never booted like this before. No new drivers / firmware anywhere. Security thing sounds right, but no one else runs these 2 programs together ?

eqplaynice is incorporated into MQ, you shouldn't run both.

EQPlayNice is the stand alone version of MQ2FPS. You don't need both.

There is a difference between the two. EQPlayNice is a fixed-sleep system only unlike MQ2FPS which can be static or FPS based. You are not seeing the CPU usage go down as much with MQ because your settings for MQ2FPS are too high.
