MQ2: Esc key crashes to desktop?

I hope this is a simple issue, and I'm stupid for not knowing why it's happening.

While running MQ2, if I dont't have a target, and I hit the escape key I crash to desktop. Every time.

If this is a simple issue, please feel free to flame me, and call me all the meanest names you can think of, but please include a solution. :)

i am having this same problem as well. ive scoured (or attempted to, things aren't that well organized to my eye) the forums talking about this problem, seems if you disable the chat window (

mq2chatwnd=mq2chat 

in MacroQuest.ini) everything works fine but you are no longer in "stealth" mode and gms and or guides can see your command history. i am leery of using this so have been looking hard for a fix until the zip is updated. apparently its in cvs, but sourceforge being the turd that it is, is slow to update when it comes to anon access. if the fix is one or two files, can someone post it? if not, we will have to wait for a new zip to be posted on the download page.

If you aren't going to read all the postings (and I mean ALL of them) in the development forum, then you should wait on the zip file.

It isn't fair to everyone else if you try to make things work without reading all postings, and then ask questions. This has been asked and answered.

(Hint: Just wait on the zip file. ....god you guys are so spoiled...want everything right away...learn some patience.)
