I even thought it would finally happen when I was killing static spawns (on a macro) a couple weeks back. I was alone in the zone, then a GM comes into the zone. This was on a server where you almost never see GMs online at all.

I was so excited, I thought my account was finally going to be gone and I could reenter the real world. But the GM just watched my toon kill static spawns for a few mins (I didnt stop the macro), then he left!

I can't believe it, I have a feeling they know that I macro but just let me be because they want their $.

I can't believe the hundreds of hours I've invested in this game and I'm so ashamed to say I've played EQ since 2002. Please SOE, release me from your world.

Have you tried /report-ing yourself?

Bah, n00b! I've played since 1999, of course I took a 6 month vacation from EQ last year, and I'm still somewhat ambivalent about it.

I doubt they'd take it seriously, they'd assume it was a joke. I've petitioned before while MQ loaded and nothing ever happened.

I'm now indifferent to getting banned. If it happens, I'll be happy in a way as I can spend more time working on productive things, but if I don't get my accounts banned I'll continue to play.

SOE used to get 10 subscriptions out of me...I'm down to 4 accounts at the moment as I don't enjoy EQ as much as I used to...

If they ban one of my main accounts, I'll cancel the others. I use MQ and offset hack on all my accounts but am not an idiot about it so I probably won't ever get caught....but if I do, it won't bother me in the least.

Release us from the EQ Crack Ho please. Save me the money and or atleast make it a tax write off (Sony's Charity of the Insane).

They will never ban everyone for the 3rd party products since it's all about the $$$ to them. So since they are making the $$$ atleast they could make a better product to make us want it more, I guess they din't go to the School of Crack Sellers.

That's really amazing, I can imagine the kind if things you could do with 10 perfectly disciplined (macroed) raiders.

I tried two boxing with a free trial account, but even with one macroed it was just too hardcore for me.

Wow you must be married to that lottery winner in Ohio. There is no way I could afford 10 accounts much less the computers to run them on!

Heh. I was chatting with a xylo guildmate and mentioned this same thing -- what's the worst that can happen to me, I get a life back? :)

GMs will not ban for unattended macro'ing. I have firsthand experience with this on multiple occasions.

I gave up trying to punish the AFK macro'ers once I saw the GMs flat-out refuse to take any action whatsoever against people doing it.

I felt like it was ruining the purity, the sanctity of a game I really loved. Guess I was wrong.

Grats me on 15 levels, 250 AA, and over 300k in looted gems while not at the keyboard.
