OK I tried loading (/plugin MQ2chat) as well as mq2chatwnd even though it is defalt. Checked to see if plugins were in file and they were there. I read the (MUST READ) with the MQ2 download many times. or the must read before the DL I should say. MQ2 runs and macros run but I can't see my super who or anthing that would usualy come up in the MQ2 window. I read the post that said some guy deleted the char files and his window came up!! What char files? in everquest directry? in MQ2? I will look for those and see if they are ones that would screw my stuff up if I delete them but if some one would be so kind post a fix for this semi-newb I would be grateful. On that note I would like to thank all the people who take the time to fix MQ/MQ2 and all the work they took to make this wonderful program. and promise not to be a retard like some others and macro over nite with plat macros LOL.

First I'd try looking in your MQ2-Latest\Release directory for MQ2ChatWnd.ini. It should have the following (here's an example):

Code: Select all

[solusek.wilso132]
ChatTop=53
ChatBottom=253
ChatLeft=89
ChatRight=489
Locked=0
WindowTitle=Spam
Fades=1
Delay=0
Duration=500
Alpha=255
FadeToAlpha=255
BGType=1
BGTint.red=255
BGTint.green=255
BGTint.blue=255
FontSize=4
You'll want to make sure that ChatTop/Bottom/etc. are all on the viewable window. Try copy and pasting my settings exactly replacing "solusek.wilso132" with your server and name if you like.

no, the first god damn thing to do is fucking compile the god damn plugins. follow the fucking directions, for the last fucking time.

I'll help you.

Thread on MQ2 Announcements titled FAQ: "I run MQ2, but I dont see anything in game?"
http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4416

The information you were supposed to read and follow to the T.
Visual Studio 6 - Load the workspace. Set MQ2Main as active project. Hit Build MQ2Main.dll (F7). Now do Batch Build (under Build menu). Make sure everything in the batch build window that says "release" has a check by it. Click Build in the window. All should compile with no errors or warnings.

Welcome to the RTFM rank. Please make sure to a) read the directions and not skip the parts that come after "Hit Build MQ2Main.dll (F7)" NOTE: I HIGHLIGHTED THESE IN RED FOR YOU ABOVE, SO YOU CANT MISS THEM. and b) Look for others with your problem, or in obvious places that solutions to your problem can be found.
