Cast item after non-melee damage...

Post by se7en » Sun Dec 14, 2003 7:31 pm

What I'm trying to do is write something that will automatically cast maelin's leggings instantly after any nuke lands by me... It's a 2 second cast that fits perfectly in-between recast, so there is no reason I shouldn't cast it, I don't want to automate the nuking itself... Just have it watch for me to do non-melee damage to a mob then /cast item "Maelin's Leggings of Lore" immediately after.

I tried a few things from other scripts, but my problem is keeping the macro running... it just finishes immediately. Any help on a macro of this type would be very appreciated :D

Code: Select all

#Event Nuked "You have been hit by non-meelee" |Or whatever shows up when u get nuked

Sub Main
:loop
/doevents
/goto :loop
/return

Sub Event_Nuked
/cast item "Maelin's Leggings of Lore"
/return
Somethin like that should work

If all your problem is keeping it running try Looping it.

:Loop
*STUFF HERE*
/doevents
/goto :Loop

Just put the area that is doing the checks (/if statments) sandwiched between it.

Sorry though, I'm still trying to learn creating macros myself so I can't offer you much more without spending a lot of time doing trial and error.

I don't think your name is actually listed when it says so and so was hit by non-melee damage so I don't know how you could use an Event to watch for it without it going off for others hit by non melee, unless you turned that off under filter mabye?. Do you use just a small set of nukes? You could make it wait for how long the nuke takes to cast and then initiate.

Hmm if I'm understanding you correctly you want to cast the leggings (that reduce your current aggro with the mob) after *you* cast a nuke on the mob. If that is the case something like this might work.

Code: Select all

#turbo 20

Sub Main
/declare PrevMobHP local
/varset PrevMobHP 0

:Loop
/if $target()==TRUE /if $char(casting)==TRUE {
    /varset PrevMobHP $target(hp,pct)
    } else {
    /if n @PrevMobHP>$target(hp,pct) {
        /cast item "Maelin's Leggings of Lore"
        /delay 23
    }
}
/delay 1
/goto :Loop
/return

Code: Select all

#event Nuke " points of non-melee damage."

Sub Main

Sub Event_Nuke
/cast item "Maelin's Leggings of Lore"
/delay 3s

Wow thanks for the replies guys, I ended up using:

Code: Select all

#event Nuke "Playersname hit "
#event Summon "You have been summoned!"

Sub Main
:loop
/doevents
/goto :loop
/return

Sub Event_Nuke
/cast item "Maelin's Leggings of Lore"
/delay 3s
/return

Sub Event_Summon
/cast item "Maelin's Leggings of Lore"
/delay 3s
/return
