Random CTD's

Downloaded and compiled the lastest IRC version, using VC++ 6.0.
Im using XP (all latest updates and whatnot)
EQW 2.35a
And Starting earlier today, Im getting Random CTD's.
It has happened as quick as like 3 min after login, to a few hours.
I have debug spew on now, will post up what it gives me soon as it crashes again.
This happening to anyone else?

Well, just had it crash, but this time, it crashed as soon as i logged in. And my debug file has nothing it in after the "MacroQuest is Active" line.
Im also gettin that stupid window from Windows saying my EverQuest Client may have crashed, ect ect.
There a way to turn that off or whatnot?

Debug->Processes. Double click on eqgame.exe
play
Wait for crash
if it breaks into the debugger, tell us where

I logged in on my Ranger, in The Bazaar. Sat there for a while, nothin happened.

First-chance exception in eqgame.exe (D3D8.DLL): 0xC0000005: Access Violation.
Virtually every last one of my CTDs since the last patch are in D3D. They're really borked it somehow. NOT using EQW helps a little, but not entirely.

If you turn off the targeting ring you get less crashes

as a former guide i can tell you a good fix to crashing on world entry =) try deleting the zone files and repatching, this does the trick 95% of the time making a movechar unneccessary

Ive just fixed for myself at least... now i can play with the 3D rings on, rah!
Downloaded the latest nvidia drivers, et voila!
