$char(ability,slam) always returns -2

I'm not sure ... but doesn't Slam use the Bash ability?

Yes, sort of. If you Slam then Bash becomes unavailable, and vice versa.

Similar to Shadow Knight's Harm Touch, Improved Harm Touch (AA Ability) and Lich Touch (AA Ability) all sharing the same Harm Touch timer?

Yeah, that's what I was looking for. Bash and Slam share a timer.

right but "Slam" doesn't work.
Even if you do /if n $char(ability,Bash)>0 /doability Slam
It still won't work.
and if you do
/if n $char(ability,Bash)>0 /doability Bash
with out a shield you get the message you can't do that without a sheild.

Sounds like it. I'm still waiting to see what changes this patch will bring, and whether or not structs will have to be rebuilt.

At least some of the servers are up now :) Break out the hard hats and lets get digging! They had a repatch ... so if you already had eqgame.exe from last night when it went on the patcher, you'll need to repatch again.

Can't do a thing right now, I'm at work for another 5 hours or so... and then I gotta go out to dinner. Guess the wife is tired of my cooking. Probably be tomorrow before I can even patch.

All I can say to that is ... Remote Desktop Sharing! *g* I patch my home computer by remoting in to it from work.
Only problem is EQ eats so much processor time that it takes forever to get the mouseclick to close it down.

lol I'm hesitant to open up my home computer to the work network. Don't need these net nazis scanning my drives. But it's an idea certainly. Maybe I'll see about setting that up over the weekend. I'd at least have access to my dev tools at work then.

If you have XP Pro (at least) and maybe Home, you can set up Remote Desktop which is similar to the Win2K Terminal Services or XWindows. You would take over your computer at home as though you were at the console. You wouldn't need to open up your whole computer ... just punch a hole in your firewall for port 3389 for the RDP traffic.

You can't play EQ via RDP tho because it's uses a generic video driver which is not 3DS compliant.
I use RDP (Microsoft) and ICA (Citrix) to play with the computers.
