just ran /updateitems on my bazaar mule... anyone still bothering with updating the ItemDB.txt in the CVS? Is it really worth updating anymore?

Code: Select all

19575	Ash Drakeling Scales
22870	Grimling Smoked Jerky
21968	Human Parts
32521	Centi Toes
29917	Storm Rider Skin
25050	Glimmering Axe
7219	Dragon Horn Ykesha
2202	Studded Mask
4939	Aged Bone Fetish
12573	Bread Crumbs
10346	Di`zok Begirding
28563	Spell: Blessing of Reverence
28566	Spell: Supernal Elixir
28474	Song: Druzzil's Disillusionment
28473	Song: Tuyen's Chant of the Plague
7669	Spell: Glamorous Visage
16238	Spell: Extinguish Fatigue
16233	Spell: Immobilize
16444	Spell: Paralyzing Earth
2334	Mammoth Hide Leggings
25602	Crystalline Robes
7318	Sacrificial Dagger
1302	Savant's Cap
Also had a thought... Since item links have the ItemNumber in them, could we have CChatHook::Detour grab them and automatically update ItemDB.txt whenever it finds a new one, or would this slow down CChatHook::Detour too much?

I've never been terribly sure what this information was being collected for in the first place....

I've always used /updateitems as a structure test, since it walks through almost everything.

To identify items on the ground.

its purpose is for identifying groundspaws correctly... I guess the only reason to add other items to it would be if someone drops something on the ground so we would see what it was...

With the new shared bank slots, ppl do not drop things no ground very often anymore, this is so some degree a waste of time

Still useful to find actual groundspawns and get them added in though, I noticed a couple of the enchanter tashania quest coins were still not in there, as well as all luclin ground spawns and PoP ground spawns, and many Velious ground spawns.

This was never intended to be an aid to stealing peoples shit.

I think we all reliaze that, however, that and finding rare groundspawns were its most popular uses

My Post was in direct reply to this statement which implies.... that you had been using it to steal peoples stuff. ItemDB.txt and /item were always designed for finding groundspawns.
