dynamic allocation of the memory offsets for encryption??

Hey guys... check out this post:

This will cause some serious hassle. If this is implemented, we will have to use offset detection code... probably another dll ... I guess we could get the exe to do that discovery before injecting eqlib.dll. Damn offset hackers have SoE pissing themselfs.
What do you think?

Feh, they have to use pointers to the dynamic data. We'll use the pointers too.
The problem will be finding them all.
Did they already put this on the test server?

This is being developed now from what I understand. SoE's solution in the long run is log parsing and banning.... for example.. when someone banks, log thier loc and if its not withing range of a banker.. .autoban. However, banning is not good for the bottom line... blowing off paying customers.. even if they are cheaters is money lost.

Either way, hackers will find a way around it. Like I posted before, Sony screwed up ...they should have left it as it was last October when everything was in a groove and no one was getting hurt

3rd hand information from a friend of a guide who heard it from an "soe employee" doesn't do shit for me....I was a Guide for over 2 years and still have a number of friends that are GMs, Lead-GMs and 2 developer "acquaintances" that I just keep in touch with via email or icq and I don't know jack about what they do with anti-hack coding.
So...While that is always a possibility of happening, I wouldn't put too much stock in it at this point.
