Since today i can't read vip anymore anyone can fix this please.

They changed it so donating only gets you VIP for a year.

A little sad I got hit also, but was expecting it would happen at some point.

I'm still a builder for another few weeks.

I only used VIP to get the updates on the plugins and post my macros. And the plugins are in the builder compile anyways (well at least for now....)

I'm someone paid for VIP and feel they haven't gotten time enough on it, I will reimburse if I was the one that the donation was sent to or add you back whichever you prefer.

If you feel you should have special treatment and just get free VIP I will consider those requests on an individual basis. Leaving this response here for future reference.

Builder has nothing to do with VIP access.
Builder is a service completely standalone from VIP.

VIP however is a token that shows your support of the project.

it is preferable to me that we keep these two things separate since all devs can add people to VIP, but only I add people to builder.

I assume it is not an 'automatic' add to VIP? The donation page implies that it is, but it doesn't seem to work that way (at least not for me just now).

It's automatic but it's bugged so I need to set that group as the default on for people manually. I think you can set it default yourself in setting for the profile as well but I'm not sure.

I donated and cannot see the VIP forum, I tried adding myself to VIP in profile and it said I am already a member of the group. I am not sure why I can't see the VIP forum.

This is a disappointment. I have donated the few months a year that I play for years, even though I have always been VIP. Look up my login and see that I am telling the truth. I don't mind a tiny bit the dev charging for upkeep of MQ, it is only fair that we pay to have access to his site since it is a TON of work that I could not begin to fathom. I am however disappointed that this change has been made to the forums. For me it is not about money, it is about how the original devs set it up and our tradition for many years. This just feels cheap and uncalled for, especially since we still have to pay to update MQ2 nowadays. I am an old man that really likes tradition, money-be-damned. I did not come here to download the new MQ, I came here to read forums, to keep in touch with MQ and the postings on this site.
