Em I in the right place?

I'm sorry the question may sim silly but I think I'm a bit lost in the vast sea of the interwebs!!

See I simply wanted to box 2 characters but I found this place and from the looks of it this helps me create bots or something close to them so that I can play with them in everquest. However in your main page you also talk about another boing program. ISBoxer 38; I went to their website and saw their videos I dont know if its also made by you guys or if its just an add, or if thats what I really need for what I'm looking to do.

I also found another website that has your program compiled and charges for it which I find kind of disturbing as on your homepwage you critic that practice, the website has quiet a following and their banned section has around 50 bans in the past week.

My question is the following:
Will i put my self right under SOEs banhammer by using mq2 to simply box and make my shaman semi automated by your macros?
Is ISBoxer 38 made by the owner of the website or is it just an ADD on the front page?

Thank you guys.

Lax was involved in the development of Macroquest2. Lax is now the author of Innerspace and ISBoxer. Lax put the update about ISBoxer on the home page (call it an "ad" if you want).

Using Macroquest is against the Terms Of Service for Everquest. If SOE catches you, they can ban you. Innerspace and ISBoxer are allowed by SOE (and Blizzard, for use in WoW, who are far more draconian in enforcing their Terms Of Service). Using Macroquest, you will be able to automate your characters so that they can interact and react with the game world automatically. ISBoxer makes it easier to play one (or more) characters at the same time, but you still have to control all their actions. ISBoxer will not allow you to do anything that you could not reasonably be able to do in game with a keyboard.

Compiling your own copy of Macroquest is not difficult, if you are willing to spend a few hours reading the instructions and learning how to do it. The sites that sell you precompiled copies are doing so against the wishes of the people who originally wrote the software. Since Macroquest is licensed under the GPL, these sites probably aren't doing anything illegal (as opposed to immoral) as long as they also make the source code available.

The bannings you mentioned were for active hacks. I have seen no reported bans for using regular or Vanilla MQ2. Any ban from using regular MQ2 is due to lack of sense and getting reported by other players.

Thank you very much for such a nice pair of responses I was expecting at least one of the replies to be a flame. I will compile and try to work with it as I would love to have my shaman simply assist cast dots and slow then stand there and look pretty. One last question I was reading random posts (before I made an account) and I came to the conclusion that the best way to enjoy this software is by donating, the front page was nice and direct and said a decent donation would grant me VIP, Is that still the case or are the post of other ppl right and the price is set at 30 dollars?

There is no set price. Although I can't speak for the active devs, I'm sure $30 would be more than enough (and appreciated).

There is a good Shambot in the VIP that will do everthing you ask, so i'd highly recommend donating.
