Only thing i had to change was to delete "PRECOMP_VC7_TOBEREMOVED" that for some reason was in the project compiling options.

wow, that's nice, for those of us that can't figure out how to make your own project in VC++6... like I did.

Wish I'd have had that when I made my project, it would have made it a lot easier

I used this tool to do a conversion and the tool completed without error.

I compiled in VC6, and get all kinds of errors in compiling; my dev system is not the one I'm posting on so I'm not pasting in the errors at this time.

I haven't removed the PRECOMP_VC7_TOBEREMOVED value yet for two reasons -- I don't see a way to remove it through the GUI (so I assume it needs hand removal, or am I missing the right spot?) and I am not sure if the /Gf that precedes it (on a line above) needs to be removed with it or they're unrelated, and I haven't yet looked up that option.

The compiler's output does indicate that it is ignoring PRECOMP_VC7_TOBEREMOVED as an unknown option, so it looks as if that shouldn't be a factor... of course this is Microsoft so who knows.

One of the errors that stands out was a complaint that _CHARINFO is underfined. A simple search finds this as a typedef in MQ.h. The error was while compiling exts.c from the "mqext files" section of the project. That C file includes "mqext.h", and nothing more. mqext.h includes only standard header files, nothing for the project.

After all this, I'm thinking I've done something drastically wrong. Surely such a simple show-stopping oversite could not be in the code or we wouldn't have executables downloadable. Can anyone offer some insite to what I'm overlooking?
