Now that the old UI is going away. (see
http://macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1523 )
how long before we have a working MQ that supports the new UI?

I have been playing with custom UI's and trying to figure how to get them to work. You can hardcode their position! All we need is a MQ UI. Could even make it temp files created on fly. But point is, there is a relative position tag in all the UI files, set it to NO, and you can hardcode exactly where is on screen. fromthere we use the mouseto, seeing as how me KNOW where what buttons will be. Not as fancy as old way but would solve the problem.

thats not the issue. the click goes through the panels down to the viewport.

Just ideas, I have not dug into the code, maybe we need to hook the mouse's click (maybe in DirectX?) and really move the mouse (/mouseto) to the locations?
I mean the mouse is able to click successfully, are we injecting 'click' too low?
Like I said just toughts, could be totally off base, but hey, I'll toss them out there.

I can move the mouse currently to my custom UI's buttons, I dont see why it would not work to alias everything.
IE: at 1024x768 the sell button MUST be at X,Y position, so we click there as "sell"
Not as sweet as your current solutions, but gets us up and running doesnt it?

Since the New UI uses all this flashy new XML then I guess the new UI code is gonna be quite well structured. I can sorta figure out how to start looking for where the click code is gonna logically but I have no clue how to actualy do it. Is there a tool I can use to look at the eqgame.exe process in real time?

Download Winhack 2.0 :
http://www.xcheater.com/download.php?fi ... exe&site=3
Download Winhack 2.0 (alt, slow) :
ftp://download.gameking.com.cn/download ... nhack2.zip
Download the crack :
http://www.cracks.am/d.x?46138
Important -- Click NO on the obnoxious pop-up window that wants to install some bullshit, probably virus-infested file, then click the "Download this File" button to get the actual crack (virus-free, I checked it).
Unzip the crack wherever you want, open PC.NFO, and follow the instructions. Bingo -- registered version of Winhack 2.0.
BTW -- don't feel bad about "pirating" this application... the guy that wrote it is dead (R.I.P.) and it's not even offered for download on his site any longer.
Enjoy!
