Post by riddick160 » Sat Aug 20, 2005 2:25 am

im really new at macros, and i can't seem to get the posted ones for cleric bots to work, i have a war, and i box a cleric, so just two in group, could someone help, and if can plz provide a spell listing w/slot numbers, cause i get really confused when looking at some of these lol ty in advance.

also i have attempted to use the afcleric, that i have read soo many good things about, and i keep getting a string of codes and can't perform this action lines, so that loses me even more, i have a 70 cleric and a 69 war, bot of course is cleric, have all the main spells needed for healing and buffs. if someone could plz help that would be much appreciated.

I'm gonna say that probaly the PEBKAC. (also why do people use topic names like "I'm a total newb"?)

I would say read around in the manual and help/wiki a bit more. Try to get a simple macro working first, because if you can't get a macro working, then things are wrong. I'm sure it's just a simple mistake, but most of the macros post work, especially the ones that are kept updated.

ok, well i can start by saying that i did get the newest ones from posts, and attempt to use them, but my prob is not knowing what spells and such to go where, and if there is a certain spell line that needs to be memmed first. or even how to read most of this stuff, but thx for help, will look at those areas.

To put it bluntly, no one is going to hold your hand and tell you what to do. Read the thread over and over, then look at the code, then read the thread twice more, look at the code again, refrence the [[Wiki]] and the manual, and then read the thread twice more.

If you still can't get it to work you honestly need to check into an easier macro.

ok, understandable, i see what your saying, that it is something a little tough to explain, and to do trial and error, which is the actual program from VS2005 im gonna need to do this, c+, C++, or visual basic (censor: i'm an idiot; please ignore me). then i guess ill get to looking at code lol

Well, plugins are what you compile and add to your solution. Macros you simple put in your macro folder. Macros you do not need to compile. If you didn't know that, you didn't read around enough.
