IS will incorporate everything in MQ2 as well as WinEQ and all the other apps Lax has created, as well as upgrade such as multiple macros running at same time and more. There's a post about it in one of these threads i wont bother searching for.

ISXEQ itself *is* MQ2. It is converted, however, to the Inner Space architecture. There's plenty that Inner Space does that MQ2 doesn't do. There's plenty that LavishScript does that MQ2's macro system cant do. So the difference doesn't really lie in ISXEQ itself, but rather the foundation it is built upon.

The announcement titled "What is ISXEQ? What will happen to MQ2?" describes a few of these things.

There are some things in ISXEQ that cant be done in MQ2, for example the data type members. This is more for scripting (aka macro), but consider targeting with MQ2. First you find the spawn you want to target. Then after you've already found it, you use the /target command, which has to find it again. With ISXEQ, you can use the object directly, such as entering the command "Me:Target", or "Spawn[Merchant Tekram]:Target"

The rest you would have to ask questions about LavishScript or Inner Space, or take a peek at the wikis describing them.

For a random MQ2 user that does nothing but use what is already there, and only for a single session, and doesn't use macros, the answer would currently be "nothing".

Cool! Does that mean that I can have an Insane AC and hit for over 500 points a shot without any equipment too? :D

We'll do a plugin with the command:

/ima <fill in the mob type here>

Seriously though. This does sound like a better system and I'd like to see it come to pass sooner than later.

So far I have not seen anyplace where I can get an idea of what specific things need to be done. Is there a tasklist in Wiki I should be looking for? I just picked up Visual C++.net a couple weeks ago so I can't claim to be a C++ god or anything, but I'm willing to throw some evenings into this project. I just need a place to start.

Any pointers?

It's pretty much usable... there's a few commands that still arent converted, and a couple of the less popular plugins we distribute, but thats about it. Load IS, load ISXEQ, load ISXEQChatWnd, ISXEQMap, ISXEQItemDisplay, ISXEQLabels, and you're set.

OMG don't flame....

I read only "available for Visual Studio .NET, no Visual Studio 6 -- and compile. "

I'll go away now :(
