Putting /whotarget info in group chat....

Before we begin, I need to get a few things out of the way:
1. I know nothing about programing
2. I read the manual, but didn't understand a whole lot
3. I have looked for this question using the search button, and could not find an answer
The Question:
I have seen people with macroquest anounce and incoming message like this:
/g Incoming target it's a level (#) (type of mob)
I know it's a simple question, but give it a simple answer. If you want to flame fine, I can take it. As a matter fact, bring it on. Just remember, I read the f---ing manual, and used the search, but didn't find an answer.

First of all a warning. If you group with people and aren't just boxing you can give yourself away by having information like mob lvl.
Second in the manual there are referances that will tell you what you need
like ${Target.Level} will return the level of your target. You can also probably use ${Target.Class} for the class of your target
From there if you look through some of the other macros you can find an example of how to put it together.
I *think*
Code: Select all
/g I am bringing a ${Target.Level} level ${Target.Class} and boy is it pissed
would work.
If not at least it is a place to start.

Umm, why would you want to announce to everyone in your group that you use macroquest? Doesn't seem like a very smart thing to do.
That being said.....
/gs Incoming %T its a ${Target.Level} ${Target.Class}

Thanks Guys,
I tried that last night, and it didn't seem to work. When I did it in normal chat ${target.level} is what appeared. If i did it in the MQ window it says "Cannot parse".
Oh well, I'll keep messing with it and try to figure it out.
Thanks again guys

Uhm, really I'm afraid to ask... why do you want to do this? Superwho info really shouldn't be broadcast to random group members. Really if you play w/ a full group of MQ users why not just change your target UI to include class/level.
/g Incoming, a Level 36 shadownight random_mob01, this info brought to you by macroquest!
Really hate to see that... bad enough so many people use this program that know so little about it.
