Vs.net compiling problem

Post by wutdo21 » Thu Dec 02, 2004 1:02 pm

On the topic about compiling MQ2 using vs.net free trial, it mentioned sending the compressed folder to yourself on the vs.net program, but after i compressed the folder was still over 70+ MB somehow. Nevertheless, I did compile it and everything went fine. I can even open MQ2 on the vs.net program without the .dll error. When I try to open the files on XP, it doesn't work. I followed the steps on the topic, and I sent the entire folder (including the Macroquest2.exe file that opens on vs.net), to my email address but when opened, I get the .dll error again. Am I missing something?

Well, you are posting a new tpoic rather then replying to the specific topic your post is about... so yes.

If you are not using a local copy of VS6 or .NET.. all bets are off. You are on your own. We can't support MS and that stupid web service trial compile crap even if we wanted to. Sorry.

Wut- I have used both methods to compile MacroQuest2 itself (no plugins save those included with the program) and it has worked fine every time. The free online trial version is a bit tedious and hard to accomplish, but the other method you mentioned works like a charm. Just follow the directions - you'll find where you're fucking up and the problem will work itself out.
