Yeah, I noticed searches were insanely slow now, as well. Thought it was broken at first.

After you update to the latest version of MQ2 please try this out with a #turbo setting of 40 and let me know how it works for you.

Updated:
autolink.mac
Just changed the turbo to max turbo. Its a little faster but not like it used to be. Oh well, probably not a good idea to return results via channels in a split second anyway.
I'm betting it picks up to its former speed when the variable switchover is complete.

everytime someone says something, my mq2 window gets
[remote search from [name] searching [whatever they said here]
-((you must provide a name to search))-
-((No entries found))-
anytime text goes thru ooc, shout, group chat, guild chat, say....
also my mq2 window blinks non stop. Am I missing something or just this stupid?

I'll have to double check. People that aren't masters shouldn't be able to trigger that. Are you using the very latest MQ2?

Are you using mq2chatwnd or mq2chat? And are you on the FV server?
What do you have this line set to?
Code: Select all
/varset RemotePhrase "Link me your"

I just tested it and it is working dandy for me. Tell me what the last entry is in the Changes.txt in your release folder.

Wondering if there is anyway of filtering the 'crap' out of this before an item is added to database.
More and more people are beginning to use the 'link' on mob names etc my data file is becoming cluttered with mob names such as.
10='000001-00001-00001-00001-00001-00001G647CE49 a regrua guardian '
From looking at a real entry, there is no space between the ID string and the text
11='0011646-00001-00001-00001-00001-00001B5F4BCD5Amulet of Necropotence'
Was wondering if it was possible to add this sort of a check to filter our this sort of thing.
Just a query.
Love this macro :)

I could probably do that. I won't be posting anything until all of my other macros are converted to the new var system though.
