hm can u say which clicky it crash with? my epic & mana regen clickies work from inventory for me (small inventory in hotkey window i mean) so does heal potions & mod rods, dont really click much else. all i can add is "it works for me". tried a clean recompile of MQ2? im compiling with vs .net 2003 & have my doubts bout the quality of code from vs6, enough said.
Smoke1 wrote:I went to older version of the ui, and it works fine, my question to you is, what did you add or change in this new UI from you previous one?
i have done nothing with it except cut & paste from http://www.eqinterface.com/patches/live ... onWnd.html
may have screwed something up i hope not :(

thanks for the kind words :)

Charisa wrote:Hey gimp, first thank you 1000 times over for writing this UI, between it and your macro you inspired me to do some learning about things I hadn't done until this week (XML and writing plugins).

Never thought I'd say thanks to someone for not providing a modification I asked for but it made me break down and learn the stuff and once i started working on it it wasn't all that hard really :)
wow, thank you...
Charisa wrote:Anyhow, thought I'd share the results of the additions and changes I've done. Most of it was just resizing a few windows, the 'big' changes are in the player window where I added guages for all types of experience, a quick overview of your saves and stats.
again, wow.!
the player window looks awesome, and great u made it same width as group window too, a friend asked me to do that just earlier tonight lol
however im hmm... i really dont like all the xp bars in the player window, all thats important to me while playing is what my hp/mana/endurance is lol, if i need the extra xp stuff i pull up the inventory window. besides, krust tells you XP% count and all that each kill so why see it on yet another place?
on the other hand, chromatic & prismatic resists & stats
i'll probably end up including a modified version of your player window :)
Charisa wrote:I also modded the group window to include you in the window in case like me you forget to watch your own health sometimes if your healing :)
hm personally i want to keep as little info on screen as possible, and duplicating hp bars to a 2nd place, and filling up more of screen is not what i want in krust (i run krust in both 800x600 and 1280x1024)

the screenshot looks cool, ill check this out more tomorrow :)

Gimp has done the same thing for me also. I also prefer the player window bigger with the info you entered, and was slowly learning how to make it like yours.

I wont use any other type of UI/MQ2 combo but Krust anymore. )

Hi, I just downloaded the Krust ui and OMG I love it.

I have a couple of ideas/requests though if possible.

1. I liked the xp and stats/resists in the player window. The other additions made by Charisa i didnt care for, I also kept getting an error message about the pris and chrom checks.

2. Is there anyway to get the friends window back? I only used this for a low lvl alt, but OMG I miss my friends window already. Could that info be hooked to another window like storyline or journal?

I'm not a programmer , in fact I get lost in a paper bag, so any suggestions I would really appreciate. I love this ui, but I gotta have my friends. Thank you

First: You must run the krust macro for the resist values to work properly in the Inventory.

As for getting the Friends window back, I wouldn't know where to begin either, shoft or rewriting the codes. For me, it's just as easy to type /who all friends.

I don't think Gimp has any plans to creat his own EQUI piece and put the friends window back.

so did i (the player window stuff), gonna add them to next ui version in a little modified version -please mod the hell out of krust to what you like the best, i couldn't be more happy.b ut the version of krust i release is just gonna contain the stuff i personally like.

krust comes with both a UI part and a macro part. currently, the lowest resist is calculated from the macro & displayed in the UI, so if you dont run the macro, it will be undefined. in fact, the krust UI is just a tiny little bit of krust, and if you guys havent checked out the macro you are seriously missing out what krust is. how about /acceptrez - to automatically accept next rez cast upon you, then auto loot your corpse & auto med while youa re afk smoking a big one? or umm theres other features too but i forgot them all

i thought people played eq because they dont have friends.
seriously though, i think with the mq features i could make a whole new window just for krust but i havent bothtered to look into that because the current solution "works for me", if someone care to show some hints, then please. it's really none of my priorities but i wouldnt mind fixing it

you're right bout that, my friend list basically contains my bots, and

Code: Select all

/who all friend
works for me. but if someone comes up with code for this i will gladly include it in upcoming krust releases

I tried to DL this UI tonight after having read all the great stuff about it) but the link didn't work for me. Took me to a broken page. Is there something wrong with the link or is it just me?

Do you have or can you post a full screen shot of the entire UI like the one in the Frequncy UI thread?

No update of krust needed for latest patch. However the upcoming UI update will probably break krust and every other MQ2 UI.

Crashing

I am crashing any time I try and load Krust's UI. I was also crashing alot of zoning even before the patch. I just came back to EQ withing the last month and started to use this UI. It rocks and hard to play EQ without it. BUT, is there a stable version somewhere for the lastest patch? Also Krust's website is down as well :(
