Not sure if this is a problem with the UI or maybe with MQ being apart of it....Everytime I hit 1 on the keyboard for the hotbutton it will crash EQ. I'm using the most recently updated files from your site and not sure if this matters but it is a song hotbutton for my bard. Just a FYI for you.
EDIT: It's the first spell/song slot actually. not just the hotbutton.

You are crashing because:
A) You dont have the latest MQ2. Why do you report bugs that are fixed?
B) Your hotkey 1 looks like this: /warp target, and your warp plugin contains evil CTD viruses.
Download MQ2-20050927 (or whatever is the latest version when you read this), recompile & be happy. You should probably also remove all custom plugins from MacroQuest.ini and look around _elsewhere_ for patches/fixes to them. All good now? Great.

actually my hotbutton looks like nothing. Read my edit, it isnt the hotbutton but the spell gem. As in like if I click on the spell gem, or if I alt+1, and yes if the spell gem is a hotbutton and I press that button it crashes. Read the whole post before you try to flame me moron. I'm not a fuckin idiot like some people.

Misunderstanding or not, the CTD bug from casting was a known issue, and is fixed in the newest release of MQ2.

I appreciate it Harden. Could have sworn I had newest release, but whatever. Thanks again Harden.

okay try 2. do /loadskin default 1
does the bug go away?
no elements in the krust ui mods ive done are crashing for me, and afaik none of the code in krust calls mq functions that are broken with the latest mq version. i am running krust on 3 toons daily and i am having no crash bugs whatsoever. i have had several with the last few mq2 zips but those bugs are all fixed now.
im sorry for being harsh in the last post to you - i do not mean to flame you, but i am pretty tired of all odd questions coming up latley

It's understandable where you were coming from. The default UI doesnt have any problems for me. For some reason, the song names were showing up as just numbers for me also. I dont know why, but whatever. I have been using it for quite some time, but with my latest compile of MQ it changed on me. Whatever, I prolly messed something up no biggie.

Its not happening to everyone. but since Last expansion people are having problems with UI's and making you go LD has nothing to do with MQ or This UI.

Hey gimp, first thank you 1000 times over for writing this UI, between it and your macro you inspired me to do some learning about things I hadn't done until this week (XML and writing plugins).
Never thought I'd say thanks to someone for not providing a modification I asked for but it made me break down and learn the stuff and once i started working on it it wasn't all that hard really :)
Anyhow, thought I'd share the results of the additions and changes I've done. Most of it was just resizing a few windows, the 'big' changes are in the player window where I added guages for all types of experience, a quick overview of your saves and stats.
I also modded the group window to include you in the window in case like me you forget to watch your own health sometimes if your healing :) Lastly I grabbed the tabbed version of the hotkey box from lodidodi ui and adapted it to the UI, so I think its pretty much set now.
Feel free to grab a copy at
http://www.hawkbane.net/krust.zip
Note: The saves that list in the player window and the inventory window require you add the prismatic and cromatic data types I posted about at:
http://www.macroquest2.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12170 Without that you will get spammed about them being missing.
There is a screenshot up at
http://www.hawkbane.net/krust.jpg note that the far left side is a ui in progress, I'm still working on getting discs in there for other classes other than warriors. but if anyone wants a copy of it let me know
Enjoy
P.S. If ya didnt notice it yet you also inspired me to write a plugin to do autoshielding based alot of the logic right off your krust plugin :) Thanks again
quick question

Hey gimp, first of all, great work love what ya done. I did do some editing here and there like changing the shrinkgroup into, shrink myself only, and added auto rez, and Arrow pointing out what direction my target is from me on the target window, few other tweeks, but with this new one i see you added one in anyways, so far I haven't ran into any trouble with new macro, however I did run into trouble with the UI, I not sure how or why, but when I try to click a clicky in the hotbutton inventory on the UI, it crashes to desktop, ie "cleric clickstick" spells work fine, hot buttons work fine, everything else to my knowledge worked ok, but when I try to use clickeys in the little inventory it crashes, I went to older version of the ui, and it works fine, my question to you is, what did you add or change in this new UI from you previous one? oh and it isn't any of my alterations, I tried running it just as you have it set up, but least macro works great, and if i have to I can live with the older version of krust UI, and again keep up the good work!!!

Do you have the latest compile for MQ?
I had the same problem when I was one day behind in the compiles.
