After looking around, it looks like the good old "ts.mac" is back to being the best one. I think it should work out of the box.

Yeah, the custom UI is gonna cause some issues... but really the only thing that needs to be "default" is the actual bags and combiners. The inventory probably just needs to have the auto-equip in approx the same location.

No, the auto-equip in my UI isn't even close to being in the same location. It's about 40x40 in size and in a completely different position.

All you have to have is the container as default. As far as ts.mac goes, I have always preferred targetted macros myself, but everyone has their own preference.

I hate trying to click the auto-equip slot on any UI ... so as soon as it came out that SOE had added the /autoinv command, I switched my /click left auto to /autoinv. It doesn't even require the inventory window to be open.

Huh, what rock was I sleeping under to miss that /autoinv. I tested it and sure enough, it will drop items in autoinv without the inventory window being open.

I'm going to modify my macro's to use this also.

They didn't announce it. I read about it on a message board (probably one of these) and tried it out. It's a native EQ command, so my guess is that someone either did a /help and saw it ... or looked at the raw EXE and found it in there.

For all the work they do I wouldn't think giving them some help when they need it is too much to ask.
No, I meant what I said, dev or not. It's infanatly harder for anyone to figure out whats goind wrong, and for him in turn to learn whats going wrong, with posts such as "someone post a working one" when there ARE working ones out there for him to test with. His post just after that was exactly the kind of post I was urging him to make, and I doubt anyone would dissagree that it was a much better "help me help myself" post then his previous ones.

Too bad you missed his flame... which I agreed with by the way.

You sound like someone who is more than happy to take without giving in return. Obviously, without Amadeus and the rest of the devs, MQ wouldn't exist.

I sure wish there was an ignore feature on this forum.

I give when I have something to contribute, and I don't just beg for people to make me a macro that works. I give it a shot and see what I can come up with, and then I post what I have and see if I can get help on THAT.

And I'll pretty much guarantee that very VERY few people have donated as much I have to the project, before Plaz ever got burned out and quit for awhile. So, in short, you don’t know a damn thing about me.

Never said I did know anything about you, and to be honest, I am glad I don't. If you blow up and get all huffy and defensive because I have a different opinion than yours, then you have a problem.

My opinion being helping the current devs with something is worth the effort since they put in alot more effort keeping MQ going.

Your statements were pretty much rude and insulting, but then, that's one of the hazards of written communication.

I'm confused, where did you get me blowing up and getting all huffy and defensive" until you made an "oppinion" on my character?

The devs make MQ what it is, yes, but IMO that doesn't change the best way for someone to ask for help. Granted, my orriginal comment was fairly rude, but it was a responce to something I think is pretty rude too, that being a post for help that feels more like begging for macros.

As a dev (which I didn't know he was at the time anyway) it's obvious he's not one of the people that just breeze on and want things all to work with no effort, but the way he was asking made it look otherwise.

You're not a dev, you just make code stuff go and get all done (psst, that's a weak attempt at humor). I keep buying you beers, but lucky for me you never come to my house and pick them up, so I have to drink them before they get old.
