The Depot is fine, just download macros from there. The boards are awesome at answering questions, the readme is just window dressing anyhow.

Yes to all, now that users will use it to make EQ easier to use, not profitable.

Readme? Oh .. I thought that was a command reference.. I never read the pizza macro. Just add perl syntax to it.

No, I found it first and even though the demo macros dont work well, I was able to learn MQ# from it. So should everyone else

ShowEQ has a barrier to entry. So do we. The thing is, a brain-damaged retarded chimp could install and use MQ. No mercy.

Remove all documentation, samples, and help strings from the project... ;)

MQ doesn't have to decode anything, the client is nice enough to have the data in memory, and easily accessed.
Malachi wrote:They could easily implement a client side algorithm to hide info about spawns, pc's, etc, that would effectively make MQ useless.
The client would still need to know about them, wouldn't it? I see possible encryption, but that would simply require another offset and a call to their decryption function... along with a few minor rewrites in the code. (I think, coders, correct me if I'm wrong)
Malachi wrote:The moral of the story, is that I think it's really pretty good where it is. The sheer "code" behind the macros is enough to throw off the people who would really ruin things, and those people who will glean the most use from the program catch on pretty quickly and the boards help a lot.
This, I can agree with. If you actually have to work to learn something, then you also learn not to abuse it.

Actually i like the idea of adding new "basic" macros..

As the poll says, its easier to use and non profitable now..who cares if newbs can use it..just make sure nothing "exploitable" gets released :D

Other than that I love how it is so far... i think adding basic macro's such as bank.mac, info.mac etc etc..things like that would be helpful :)

GJ all

Its definitely a good idea to add some basic macs in the readme. It would be nice to see a 1 or two line bit of code defining the usage of some of the commands in the readme. On the other hand, it really is extremely simple to use and understand MQ after reading the .mac's in the depot and learnig from people in IRC. Having more features put in is an excellent idea as well.
 nuff from me.
